The main advantage of our UAV is the self-testing feature in each on-board electronic device: navigation systems, motor controllers, servodrives and communication modules. The second advantage is exclusive using of anti-jamming interfaces with error detection protocol for interaction the autopilot with each on-board electronic device. We work in UAV modules design and UAV complex integration to meet the customer demands.
The base of our UAV automatic control system is own autopilot AP-05. It is based on high-performance ARM processor and operates under the QNX Neutrino real-time operating system (RTOS). The system operates in protected virtual address mode and allows running user software without security violation. Protected virtual address mode in addition with high performance permits realization wide range of applications without extra computing resources.
The actuators of our automatic control system are own special servodrives SS-01. Key features of these drives are anti-jamming half-duplex interface, embedded DC/DC converter with 9-40 V input and contactless feedback.
We have developed own transceiver for communication between UAV and ground control station. The wideband software-defined digital communication system extends capabilities for UAV payload transmission in real time. Adaptive parameters adjustment allows achieving the optimal data link baud rate for specific task.
The ground control station has the same software architecture as on-board equipment. It operates under the cross-platform QNX Neutrino RTOS. Ground control statio-n might be based on general-purpose or rugged laptops as well as own rugged tablet PC. Our rugged tablet PC is equipped by high-brightness LCD qualified for low-temperature environment (till -30 °С). It has the touchscreen and the context-oriented keys placed on the screen sides. This approach realizes the multi-function display concept. This solution might use as portable option as well as multi-display operator workplace for complex systems control. Network architecture of ground control unit enables to unite a number of operator workplaces to integrated complex with synchronous display the flight telemetry and commands feedback.
