Input-output device UVV-02
Applications
Parameters measurement and analog signals generation controlled via duplicated RS-485 interface
Major application properties of the instrument/device
- 16 channels for discrete commands output optionally configurable as: logic signal, PWM signal of standard drives (other types of output signals can also be configured at customer's request);
- 4 channels for voltage measurement;
- 4 channels for temperature measurement using thermistors (the device automatically measures resistance and calculates temperature);
- 2 channels for temperature measurement using thermocouples (the device automatically calculates temperature based on thermal EMF);
- 8 channels for frequency or signal level measurement. Channels can be configured to capture the length of the standard PWM signal from the radio receiver. One of the channels can capture the signal of the S-BUS radio control equipment.
Key features and properties
- The device has wide range functions for signals measurement and generation, which makes it possible of using the UVV-02 as the only on-board device on a small UAV operating with analog signals in the automatic piloting circuit
- Wide range of supply voltages, small overall dimensions and weight

Electrical characteristics of discrete commands output channels |
High level +7 volts (created using a pull-up resistor 1k), low level +1 volt (Darlington transistor in the open state). |
Range of measured voltage values |
0-36 V; |
Type of thermistor used for temperature measurement |
Any NTC with a nominal resistance of 10k. It is allowed to use thermistors with other nominal resistance, but the temperature measurement accuracy will be reduced in this case |
Supported thermocouple types |
K and J with galvanic isolation from the zero power bus (other temperature curves can be realized at the customer’s request) |
Supported thermocouple calibration types |
- temperature shift by a fixed value. - introducing a correction factor to the characteristic slope |
Compensation of thermocouples cold ends |
Temperature of the cold ends is compensated by thermistor temperature measuring channels (the customer must place a thermistor in the place where the conductors of the thermocouples connected to the conductors of the power network). The use of common and separate thermistors is supported to measure the the cold end temperatures of two thermocouples. |
